April Real Estate sales activity was consistent across the Greater Toronto Area. Partly due to the expectations of higher stress test qualifications proposed by OSFI. So far it’s not implemented yet or announced other than the recommendation posting last month. If it’s implemented there is not going to be a significant shift in market as we heading towards spring market.
Traditionally April to June months have the highest number of homes sold in a year. But with the vaccines still not half way inoculated, it might pose a risk in the short time with buyers expecting the work from home option to last longer and hence living in the suburbs.
